I am getting the dvd this weekend and was wondering what thd dvd set is like. Are the episodes unedited? Is the movie considered a special feature or is it the one before the first episode in season 4 like it aired on NBC? I have seen the packaging online it looks the same does it happen to be like the Sony boxed sets? Are the menus on the dvd like the menus on the Sony dvds. Is the quality pretty decent because the more episodes on a disc the worst the quality? Are the episodes on the discs complied together or is there like 5-6 on a dvd? Are the episodes on the discs in original run order on syndication order or is the order the same for both syn and orig order? I remember Family Matter's original order and syndication order were different like Laura's First Date was before or after an episode but I don't remember. Are there any scenes added to the dvd set that were missing from syndication or ondemand run. I can't wait for season 5 to be released because I have seen the uncut run of that thanks to comcast and there was a scene at the begining of Brave New World where Blair and Jo are in the dorm room talking about Jo's stay there but in the syndication episode they open with the college hangout area where they are playing cards I believe sitting at a table. If Comcast has the rights to episodes from season 1-7 that means Shout Factory can obtain the rights which means those episodes are out the but someone needs to put them on dvd. Season 7 is where comcast cut off right before Beverly Ann came on so maybe those seasons are out there waiting for a release as well.

"Are the episodes unedited?" Yes
"Is the movie considered a special feature or is it the one before the first episode in season 4 like it aired on NBC?" Its the 90+ minute version like it originally aired before season 4. "I have seen the packaging online it looks the same does it happen to be like the Sony boxed sets?" No, the s4 set is in a plastic keepcase with overlapping discs. "Are the menus on the dvd like the menus on the Sony dvds." Not sure "Is the quality pretty decent because the more episodes on a disc the worst the quality? " It's about the same as seasons 1-3 "Are the episodes on the discs complied together or is there like 5-6 on a dvd?" Disc one has the movie + a few eps, then they are split evenly. "Are the episodes on the discs in original run order on syndication order or is the order the same for both syn and orig order?" Same order "Are there any scenes added to the dvd set that were missing from syndication or ondemand run." Well the syndicated run has the eps cut down to about 22:10 while these eps all run close to 25 minutes each, so yes about 3 minutes of footage extra compared to syndication. Theyre identical to the ondemand episodes. |

I finaly got Facts of Life Season 4 on DVD yesterday. Got it at Sam's Club yesterday. Looking forward to watching the set. And I have to admit I have never scene The Paris TV movie. Gush I was 5 years old when season 4 was airing on TV. And the only sitcoms I watched on TV when I was 5 is what my older brother and parents was watching. Yeah my brother liked to watch Webster. And I do recall watching that show with my brother when I was real little. And I do recall watching Diffrent Strokes with my family. And Happy Days, and Three's Company. But I dont recall watching Facts of Life. Gush it was so long ago.
Well anyways glad I finaly got season 4 on DVD. Gush I have so many new TV shows to watch on DVD. The past few weeks I have got The complete Leave It Beaver set on DVD,The Lucy Show season 2,3 new Doctor Who DVD's,and I rented from Netflix The end of The world series Survivors. And now I have Facts of Life season 4 on DVD to watch. Gush I have a lot of TV shows to watch on DVD. |
