Cobie Smulders Suggests Her 'How I Met Your Mother' Character May Be Gay

Cobie Smulders has suggested that her How I Met Your Mother character Robin could turn out to be a lesbian.

Speaking to TV Guide, Smulders admitted that she has no idea what romances Robin will have in the future.

"Maybe she'll turn out to be a lesbian!" she said. "That's her doppelgänger. That's be interesting for me to play - straight Robin, lesbian Robin, Robin Sparkles."

Smulders added that she wants Robin to take relationships more slowly in the next season.

"I don't know in what form Robin will find love, but hopefully it'll be the right one," she said. "I don't know if it'll be Ted, Barney, Marshall or Lily - it can be anyone in our cast at this point because I make out with every single person!

"Listen, Robin is a slut. She gets around. Season six, hopefully she closes her legs a little bit."
