"Mike"was short for Michael,"Robbie"was short for Robert, and Chip was a nickname for Richard, did Steve ever call the boys Michael,Robert and Richard,or just by their shorter nicknames?

The most likely one would be 'Michael', butI don't remember Steve calling Mike that in any specific episode.
I also know that Steve used refer to Chip as 'Chipper' a lot. |

I dont recall Steve or anybody calling Chip Richard. It was very seldom anyone called Mike Michael or Rob Robert. They were pretty informal with each other.

I can remember Steve once calling Bub 'Michael Francis O'Casey', but it was tongue in cheek.

Once in a while, Steve had to explain to others that Chip was a nickname for Richard. Those instances were about the only times he used the formal name.
