Default Appreciating Craig Carter

I just finished watching season one of Here's Lucy and Craig is so funny . He's very close to his mom and sis especially at his age and man can he play those drums. I love the episode where he gets his drivers license. It will be sad to see him leave after the third season. The show won't be the same without him.

Desi Arnaz Jr. returns to Here's Lucy one more time, in Season 5 ep. 5, Lucy & Joe Namath, when Craig comes home from college, for a visit.

Cool

I'm watching season 3 right now. I've watched 10 episodes and already there have been 3 or 4 episodes in which Kim and Craig do not appear.

One visit huh. So no more guest appearances/reoccurring role/returning. So his character left for college after that and never came back...DAMN.

So I'm assuming it's the old "Famous guest stars" and Lucy wacky episode routine that's causing her kids not to appear.

Well that pretty much sums up the Season 3 opener with the Burtons. While that was the highest rated HL episode ever, I have to admit I never really cared for it. I liked th episodes involving her children much more than the crazy episodes with famous guest stars. But I'm also baised in that I never cared for Richard Burton or Elizabeth Taylor. She just seemed to stuck up to me.

Liz Taylor was like a film legend when she did that guest spot on Here's Lucy.
But anyways the kids are the reason I even watch this show. Kim (Lucie)
was so freakin' hilarious as the wacky secretary in the episode "Lucy Protects Her Job" total comedy gold. Plus Craig (Desi) has his comedic moments as well. The show is fine without the big names. The brother and sister really have this
great chemistry onscreen. It's too bad Desi left the show as a regular.

Just finished watching Season 2 and once again Craig shined in a couple episodes. The episode with Liberace and the episode with Ann-Margaret. The typical "Here's Lucy" big-name guest star episodes but Craig does have major screentime.

That episode with Ann-Margaret was great! But then seeing Ann-Margaret is always nice She and Desi Jr. had a great scene together in her apartment. I always laugh every time I see that part where he is a nervous wreck waiting on her to change into something comfortable, LOL!

There's no reason to assume he never came back. The show originally aired between the months of September and March, right in the middle of the school year. So he wouldn't be hanging around the house during those months. We could guess that, during the summer months while the show was on hiatus, Craig was at home. By the last season, Craig would only have been a junior in college, so he'd still be away at school.

That was funny. Desi Jr.'s character is suppose to be this handsome popular high school guy who's a ladies man but to see him act all nervous was definitely a highlight.

That does make me feel a little better to imagine Craig at least hanging out at home with mom and sis during the summer breaks playing his drums/guitar and having out-of-camera adventures involving his mom's wacky antics.
