The first season episode,1965's "Survival Of The Fattest",is a very strange episode, for the following reasons:1)As part of a test,Max(at his insistence)is slapped repeatedly by fellow CONTROL agents in order to get information out of him(the Chief and the other CONTROL agents are very dubious about this, and it doesn't work, and Max and the Chief give up on this idea and try something else)2)Barbara Feldon does NOT appear as agent 99,or at all in this episode,(unless she appeared at the very end as the harem girl)and 3)Max is surprised that the Chief and the villain in this episode,a VERY strong woman villain, was a former romantic interest(of sorts)of the Chief.A mildly amusing episode written by Mel Brooks.

...originally aired on December 25, 1965. Mel Brooks wrote very few episodes of the series, so his were usually the "strange" ones (even with Ronnie Pearlman as a collaborator). Barbara Feldon did not apear in this episode; Tania Lemani was the "dancing girl" [she also appeared in episodes of "I DREAM OF JEANNIE", "THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E." and "STAR TREK" as- what else?- a dancing girl].

...websites such as IMDB, Wikipedia, and others that provide media information are, for the most part, helpful- but they're only as good as the accuracy of the information they provide. I knew that Barbara Feldon wasn't in some of the early episodes...but those who've never seen the series in toto, don't. And that's where it's easy to make mistakes and/or assumptions.
