Default Gummy is after Gary's Pension

http://www.celebitchy.com/104143/tod...ll_discovered/

Todd Bridges reveals Gary Coleman had substantial pension, third will discovered.

A lot of you have wondered why Gary Coleman’s evil ex wife was so eager to get her greedy mitts on his estate, considering that he was broke. We may have the answer from Coleman’s former co-star, Todd Bridges. Bridges revealed to Radar Online that he will personally receive separate monthly pension from the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists Unions that are worth $13,000 a month from when he’s 55 up until his death. It’s unclear what amount would go to Gary’s estate or survivors, but Bridges estimates that it would be substantially more than the $156,000 a year he’s entitled to as Gary made about twice as much as he did on Diff’rent Strokes. “[Gary] may have died with no money, but his pension is huge.” He added that “a pension never ends when a person dies. It goes to the next person… in the will” and explained that when a person passes away the estate can get the entire pension at once.

Bridges assures us that Gary’s money will go to charity, but that might not be his choice. His ex manager Dion Mia, who he named in 1999 as the executor, and his ex wife, Shannon Price, are currently battling over control of the late actor’s estate. Fortunately Gary had the sense to divorce Shannon in 2008 and she may have no legal rights despite being named in a 2007 addendum/codicil to the will as his new executor. According to Bridges, Dion is a trustworthy guy and will ensure that Gary’s money is donated as he wished.

Licensing for Gary’s image could be worth millions
E! Online has more on Gary’s worth, and they quote a lawyer who explains that the licensing rights to Gary’s image may be worth a mint. “There may be some value to the rights over his likeness going forward. And his estate will still own that as an asset. This is the entertainment business; that value could be in the millions.” Gary hated his “What’choo talkin’ bout” catchphrase, I remember him grumbling about it on The Surreal Life. If his ex Shannon Price gets hold of his estate, we may be looking at talking Arnold Jackson dolls and Gary’s diminutive avatar as an extra in video games. The rights to Gary’s image, as well as his pension, should provide plenty of motivation for Price to fight to be named the main beneficiary. It also sounds like she had enough reasons to pull the plug on the guy sooner rather than later.

Third will has been uncovered
After I wrote this story and was just about to publish it, Radar reported that a third will has been uncovered that’s more recent than the 1999 will and is not the handwritten codicil naming Price as Gary’s beneficiary. How much do you want to bet the new will just happened to be in Shannon’s possession until it was uncovered? Radar claims that it “was created by a lawyer and it’s substantially different from the 1999 will… [it] should be filed within a couple of weeks at the latest.” What took so long for this new will to come out? Did Shannon have to get help writing it?

It is indeed sad. I see this whole situation being dragged through the courts for months, if not years, to come.

Yeah, It's like you can see that when she saw the 1,000's of 1,000's of emails coming into the hospital a light bulb went off and she saw $$$$$ signs running through her head.

First:

We need you to pay for the funeral (days later we find out Gary didnt want a big funeral)

Second:

Getting her brother to take photos of a dead Gary with "her" in the photos with him

Then we find out this broad only made $10,000 of the pics?? What in the world can you do with that little of money to ruin your reputation.

Third:

Say you didnt take the photos! (then we hear from her spokesperson say "she knew".. then we hear on other shows "she didn't know")

Fourth:

Quickly go to the house and start taking things out before it was closed.

Fifth:

She starts doing paid interviews with ET & The Insider. (anyone that pays her she will go on and do any interview you want)

Sixth:

The 2nd worst thing she does next to taking dead pics, she goes with ET and re-enacts the death scene in THIER own house!! She is walking through the house with a camera crew showing the exact spot she pushed him.. opps I mean he fell.

Seventh:

She is selling their wedding video to ET.

Every single night she is going on any show that will pay her.

Gary really wasn't a bad person.

I used to think bad things about him for years until I took a long hard look at that episode of Insider where he got mad, cursed Lisa Bloom out and walked off the show.

People pressured him immensely about his private life, his finances and his health, which all sadly took it's toll on the embattled actor. It's just too bad, so tragic and so sad that we've lost him at such a young age!!

But like Todd Bridges says, (and I agree with him) Gary's ex "got her money with those disgusting photos. She can live off of that."

This is one bonafied greedy witch! I hope that she gets nothing from any of those wills!!

I've criticized gary quite a bit. I've done it on this forum. After reading what he's been going through, I understand him a lot better now. I used to be a big Gary Coleman fan. I watched DS every week. I really lost touch with him over the years and would just hear about him when he made the tabloids. He had a sad life. I don't think he meant anything when he trashed DS or when he wanted people to think of him as someone other than Arnold. I think most of his trashing of DS is in retrospect. I think to him, it wasn't worth it in the end. I'm sure he had some good memories while the show was going on but after it was over and he was broke and nobody would give him a break, he got bitter. He was used by many people when he was a kid to make them money and they really didn't care about him. It's sad that now that he's dead, the same thing is happening again.

Yeah, Gary's body is being held in limbo until this whole mess is resolved. And it could take weeks or even months before it's all said and done!!

I agree 100%, Sonny. When I started reading more about his life when he passed, I can totally see why he would be bitter, hurt and angry. Add to that his health problems - just terrible.

It's just too bad that we didn't see all of this coming when he was alive! We might have been able to talk to him.

People mainly remember him for his role in Strokes, yet it seems that he was thrusted into stardom at a very young age and he probably never had a childhood of his own because his childhood was always displayed in front of the video cam.

And when the show was over, his character name stuck with him for the rest of his life. He just couldn't shake the image or put it behind him!! And his future seemed like it was headed nowhere.

This saga has happened with quite a few child actors. Maculay Culkin was another one! During his "Home Alone" days, he made millions. But his controlling dad wanted him to make money for him. Dollar signs were flashing in his eyes!! As a result, Maculay never got the chance to really enjoy his childhood offstage!! (Same thing happened with Michael Jackson and his older brothers!)

Even though he's still alive and well, he's also had numerous run-ins with the law. Brian Bonsall was another one. His life has become dust in the wind. He keeps on getting into trouble with the law!

There ought to be a law on how much time that a child actor can spend in front of the camera. So that they don't end up being overworked and become the victims of greedy parents and their adult lives don't end up being distroyed and hurt like Gary's was!!!

Bobb'e J. Thompson is also an up-and-coming chld actor. He's in his teens now. He's been in dozens of films and TV shows, but so far, he's holding his own. I sincerely hope that he doesn't burn himself out like so many others did before him!!

Oh No

Actually there are laws regarding how many hours a child actor can work and how many hours of schooling they need to do etc. Unfortunately producers, directors, and stage parents have all become very creative at getting around those laws so that their meal tickets er I mean children can keep the money rolling in!
