"Glee" Season One Finale Draws in 11 Million Viewers - Highest Rated New Series
"Glee" finale watched by nearly 11 million viewers
by Lynette Rice Jun 9, 2010 The finale of "Glee" on Tuesday lured nearly 11 million viewers and finished the year as the highest-rated season-ender for all freshman series, according to preliminary ratings. The drama posted a 4.6 rating/12 share in adults 18-49 – up 18 percent from last week - and was up 21% in total viewers. Fox says the finale also represented the show’s highest-rated telecast without a lead-in from "American Idol". "Glee" won its hour among adults 18-49, adults 18-34, teens and all female demographics. "Glee" was also up 59% in total viewers versus what it averaged in the fall when it aired on Wednesdays (11.6 million versus 7.3 million).
