Vintage 1968 CBS Soaps Promo - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

At this time, CBS had SEVEN soaps on their schedule (they were all 30 minutes long). Now there are seven soaps on the air, period (6 after ATWT ends in September).

It is, isn't it? I love watching clips of the old soaps in part because of the clothes, hair and decor.

No problem!! I especially loved seeing a very young Donna Mills with David Birney in the Love Is a Many Splendored Thing promo. I looked it up and her character was a nun-in-training who left the convent. What a far cry from Abby Fairgate (her villainous Knots Landing character).

Wasn't that Robert Mandan in the Search for Tomorrow clip?

At any rate, this is good stuff. I was REALLY young then (too young to remember TV) but I love it nonetheless. The writing and acting were much better IMHO.

And I think the ladies in those clips were beautiful. Loved the Sixties hair and fashion!

That was indeed Robert Mandan!! He played Sam Reynolds on SFT from 1965-70.
