Missing Child and other case I don't remember - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Does anyone remember who this case is about? I remember a case where the family had been out for the evening, and they got home around 8 ish or so, the mom was in the shower, maybe and the daughter decided to ride her bike to a friends or something? She may have even been riding her friend home and then riding back. Anyways, she doesn't come home. Mom goes looking , finds her bike laying in a yard, kind of in between two houses. Witnesses tell her that a car had been circling and two guys were in it.....

2nd case- Chick was a model and rode around with her boyfriend who was a bad guy, and they were all " I will never be hurt by this, Im not wearing a helmet" and here comes a car and bam, she gets hit in the back of the head with a 2 by 4, which did hurt because she didn't have a helmet and now she is brain damaged... anyone remember that one?

The second case is that of Jennifer Pratt and Curtis Croft. Jennifer Pratt was riding on the back of her boyfriend's motorcycle when she was hit in the head by a board thrown from a passing truck driven by a group of unidentified teenagers.

She survived but suffered severe brain damage that probably still affects her to this day. To the best of my knowledge, her assailants were never apprehended.

Jennifer's boyfriend, Curtis Croft, had a shady past including arrests for drug dealing. He beat the rap by snitching on his associates. It was theorized that the attack was possibly some kind of retribution - the board being for him, but Jennifer was caught in the crossfire.

If you search the forum, you should find several threads about this case. It's discussed pretty often.

The first story doesn't sound familiar.

In the Jennifer Pratt case, I think she was actually wearing a helmet. I can't remember for sure, as it's been a while since I've seen it, but I'm pretty sure she was. I may be wrong, though.

It doesn't sound familiar. Maybe it was featured on another show?

Maybe.... although I remember that UM was like breathing to me, and watching other shows like that was like adultery in my eyes.... I know... I was a UM Geek... I admit it..... and now I have these random case flashbacks and I can't remember all the details and it drives me crazy! Thanks for your help.....
