Default Confessions, Confessions - 12/18/70

The editing of the ball going out of the boys room, across the hall and down the stairs is very good. There is a blooper though; a piece of the vase flies off the chest of drawers but in the next shot all 3 pieces are sat together. Also, watch the last shot just before the end of the opening tag and you will see a shadow pass over the edge of the chest of drawers but the boys have not as yet gone down stairs.

When Alice says "Anybody got 3 coins for the fountain" during the vase springing a leak scene look behind her head and you can see the top of the kitchen set. Either that or the kitchen ceiling is painted black.

During Mikes close-up at the dinner table he should have the display cabinet behind him but instead just has a wall and a picture.

The stereo is not in the family room.

When Jan confesses to Mike look in the display cabinet above his head and you will see a silver horse. They had a lot of horses in that house.

Peter reveals that the house has a cellar when he states that the screens shoud be stored there. Perhaps that is where the hallway behind the stairs leads to.

This is my main issue with this episode: even though Peter was the one who actually broke the vase, all of the boys were playing ball in the house, so shouldn't they all have gotten punished???

Now you mention it, I don't think Carol or Mike actually dound out how it happened. They work out it's Peter but when he confessed, did he say how he did it? I would need a re-watch.

Howard Leeds who worked on TBB also worked on or created Small Wonder and the plot here with the broken vase glued back together but then springing a leak during a dinner scene was used in a first season Small Wonder episode.
