Default The black and white pilot "Two's Company"

Which was a pilot Marlo Thomas did for ABC before "That Girl",and her performance was good in it,and convinced ABC to give "That Girl"a try, what did you think of it?Did ABC ever air the unsold pilot?

Default I haven't seen it...

...but I know about it: the pilot was produced as a potential series for ABC's 1965-'66 season (they passed on the idea). It wasn't even "burned off" on the network's summer schedule. I'm sure a print of it exists somewhere...

Two's Company is included as a bonus feature on the season 2 DVD of That Girl. Also, the actual pilot for That Girl is included as a bonus feature on the season 1 DVD.

Default I'm glad you pointed that out to me, 'retro'...

...as I haven't seen that "season 2" DVD as yet. At least you know a little more about "TWO'S COMPANY", anyway....

While not really a great pilot episode, Two's Company is interesting to see as a look back to part of our rare TV history. Paul Lynde also appears in it, Marlo Thomas plays pretty much the same type of character as in That Girl, maybe she's a bit more calm and subdued here but otherwise there's not much difference between the two characters.

It was kind of like later comedies-"He and She" and "Mad about You"come to mind.

And also,it gave viewers a look -sort of-if on "That Girl",what life would have been like if Ann and Donald HAD gotten married.Great romantic scenes in this film.

Her male co-star in Two's Company was better looking than Ted Bessell. They made a stunning couple in the Two's Company pilot.

One other tip; The box set claims it's on Disc 2, when it's actually on Disc 1.

Second issue; A lot of other actors should've been given credit for guest starring roles besides Anne Jeffreys and Paul Lynde. Either way, I have to upload some photos from this pilot.
