Hogan's Herro's On DVD Questions Please Help - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hi Everyone I was Thinking About Picking Up Hogan's Heros On DVD i have Wonderful Memories of Wacthing Hogan's Heroes on Tv with My Grandfather and laughing my head off. when i saw Hogna's heros on dvd i was So Happy But they where to mutch money at the time Hogan's Heros First Came Out on DVD i was Looking Around My Local Bj's Tonight and saw Hogan's Hero's 2 Season Packed togther for $ 10.00 a peice now i wold love to buy all the sets but i do a few Questions to ask and i am Hoping someone can help me?

1, Do the Episodes Have A Clean Cut Picture and Sound Quailty & Does Anyone Know If The Episodes are the the cut Versions or Full length Versions the reason why i ask this is i notice that the Hogan's Heros DVD's are Put out by CBS DVD and i know it the past CBS DVD is Famous for Edting DVD's Beacuse of Music and what not so i was just wondering if anything is Missing form the Hogan's Heros DVD's ?

2, are thire any Special Features on The Hogans Heros dvd's and if so what

im hoping they are worth the Money But Beacse of the Low Price something tells me that the Hogans Heros dvd are not Very good but i hope im Worng but im Hopeinig someone can Clear this up for me Beacse if the Hogan's hero's DVD are Worth the Money I want to get them sooner that later Beacsue Father's Day is coming up Folks might want to buy Hogan's Heros on DVD as a Gift for thire Father and i don't Want to be Left Out in the Cold if is worth it

All the episodes are uncut and even contain some of the original opening and closings where it says this is brought to you in color. Season 1 extra is the only black and white episode of Hogan's Heroes. Season 2 has many many wonderful extras. I don't believe the rest have any extras but all the episodes are uncut. Some shows are just funnier to me on dvd and this is one of them. Paramount did a good job on this show. Please buy them if you like the show. I have all the season sets but will be buying the complete collection later on because I have watched them so much my dvds are starting to show signs of wear!! But this is one set I am glad I bought. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy!! What a minute I think either season three or four has a few extras with one being a clip of Werner Kleempper on the Pat Sajack show. He was a sweetheart. Oh and the prints look great on my tv. They even looked good on my standard def tv. The sound is on par for a show its age. I would definitly recommend this set though. I would go with the season sets though. I hear the packaging of the complete collection is not good.

Nice to see they did a good job of this. I have to admit I never liked season 6 much. I liked Ivan Dixon much better than Kenneth Washington.

I was thinking of picking this one up and had a question. I thought I read that either the b/w pilot or the first color episode were edited on the season 1 set (as the edited episode was compared to what Columbia House released several years ago. Is this true?

If so, was that corrected in the complete series collection or is that just a 'collection' of all the previous released sets?
