"Lie to Me" Writers Promoted to Showrunners

Despite low ratings and the departure of superstar showrunner Shawn Ryan, Fox's "Lie to Me" has defied the odds and scored a third season.

Now comes word that series scribe Alexander Carey has been promoted to co-showrunner alongside former "Southland" producer David Graziano, reports Zap2it.




Ryan brought Carey to "Lie to Me" as a writer last year during the show's second season.

Graziana joined the series in January.


Carey and Graziano previously worked together on USA's "In Plain Sight".





Star Tim Roth says Ryan's decision to leave the show doesn't worry him.

""Lie to Me" is in good hands with Carey and Graziano," he told Zap2it.




"Lie to Me" heads back to Fox next Monday with guest star Jason Dohring ("Veronica Mars").

Season two wraps this summer and production on season three kicks off in July.
