Wendie Malick Wants Jeff Bridges for 'Hot in Cleveland'

As if Betty White couldn't get any hotter, she's now Hot in Cleveland. She stars in the new TV Land sitcom with Wendie Malick, Valerie Bertinelli and Jane Leeves.

So what is it like working with the former Golden Girl? We'll let Malick explain…

"She's another great broad," Malick told us the other day at the Environmental Media Association's Yes to Carrots Garden Challenge luncheon in L.A. "She comes in with a sparkle in her eyes. She still has an amazing attitude and she has rocking timing…She hasn't lost it."

Malick warns that Hot in Cleveland, premiering June 16, is not about a bunch of so-called cougars. "I think it has a really negative connotation," she said of the recent older women-younger men trend. "It sort of sounds like women who are going after younger boys and just plucking them out. I don't find much younger men as interesting, because I don't have as much in common with them, but I think the idea that older women are attractive and still have juice is absolutely true."

Sure, but if White, 88, does get a younger love interest on Hot in Cleveland, who should it be?

Malick quickly answered, "Jeff Bridges."

She added, "Bless her heart, long may she wave!"

We'll second that. Now, can someone please get 60-year-old Mr. Bridges on the phone? We have the perfect part for him.
