well, let's see-he played a painter who painted a nude painting of Laura in one episode, another time he played an author at a party Rob & Laura attended and once he played the voice of an opera singer (just in one scene though) and that's all that I can think of.

And which did you like better? For me,at first, the character Alan Brady was pretty nice without being really overbearing, but toward the end the character was a little bit overbearing.I liked the other characters he played a little bit better as a whole. It proved that Carl Reiner could play other characters on "The Dick Van Dyke Show"that were just as funny as Alan Brady, and make them just as funny.

In the episode "October Eve" Carl played "Serge Carpetna" the artist who painted Laura au natural.
In the episode "I'm No Henry Walden" Carl played an author named "Yale Sampson" In the episode "Stacey Petrie Part 2" He played a character named "Willie Cook" In the episode The Gunslinger" Carl played an outlaw named "Big Bad Brady" Also in any episode were a voice was heard coming from the TV, a loudspeaker etc. it was likely Carl's voice you were hearing. |

Oh yeah, I thought Carl was phenomenally good as the artist. I sometimes forget that it's him as I watch that episode...!
