Sometimes i have to copy and paste information from a word document into a thread (usually in the create a network thread), but it always ends up with annoying formatting codes throughout the document; for example something like this [fontsize12black][//timesnewromanblack-----]
It is very annoying. How do i prevent this? Is there a way to stop or remove it once i've copy and pasted it? sometimes i have to copy a large amount of information and it is too time consuming to have to maunally delete each piece of formatting text. There MUST be a way to stop this right? I tired clicking on the symbol above that is an AA with a red line through it that says "REMOVE FORMATTING TEXT" but it did not take the formatting text out of the document i had copied.

When you copy and paste from Word, you also bring over Word-specific formatting data into the window. The board's software doesn't interpret this formatting data AS font code but as text, hence the odd code-like messages. And since it's not considered formatting code by the site, pushing the button on the site obviously has no effect.
If your default font in Word is Times New Roman I'm assuming you're using one of the older versions of the software as it's changed in the newest one. The coding of fonts in word may have also changed since then, I'm not sure, but it may not be a problem in the newest version of the software. Beyond a Word upgrade (which might not even fix the problem at all), I'm really not sure what could be recommended right now but I'll keep your problem in mind and if I think of something easier and simpler I'll let you know.
