Default The Tattle-Tale - 12/04/70

Tiger is mentioned AND seen.

This is the episode that sees Alice win a stereo which has been present in the family room in a number of previous episodes suggesting this was filmed earlier in the run.

Tiger runs out of Mike's den one moment and then out of the open hallway behind the stairs suggesting that perhaps the hallway behind the stairs leads outside or to the utility room.

Mike is seen playing golf in the living room and the camera angle is duplicated in one of the big screen versions of the show. Also, Carol goes to help Mike with his putting but in a way that suggests she cannot play golf.

During the tag the shadows of Flo and Barry can be seen in the family room as they await their cue to join the scene.

Peter is absent for the whole episode.

And a HUGE blunder in this episode,

Watch when Cindy comes down the stars as Carol, Alice, and Mike still don't know why Sam has not picked up Alice to go to the dance. Remember that Cindy tattled that "Alice was at the door hugging the postmen" when actually she was just happy she had won the Everpress Jingle Contest. After Mike lectures her about how her tattling has gotten out of hand, watch the next scene where Cindy comes back up to the girls' bedroom! SHE'S WEARING DIFFERENT CLOTHES!!!!

Also watch the DVD of this episode, I can't remember exactly but there is some sort of loud moan groan for a few seconds in the kitchen scene where Alice is mixing cake batter into a bowl. Could be a sound error in the master copy, or a transfer error. I'm almost sure it is in this episode.

Sidenote: "The Dropout" has about a one-second speed glitch where Greg is lifting weights in the Family Room. (i.e The baseball obsession episode.)

Great spot there; I never noticed the change in clothes before.

The scene in the kitchen; the loud groan, is it when Cindy drags the stool behind the counter? That would explain it.

These are the same clothes she was wearing the next day, which would suggest that either she changed early or something got cut in between. It is interesting to note, though, that Marcia is wearing the same clothes she wore when she came downstairs to complain about the paper being taken, so it is likely that Susan Olsen changed clothes prematurely.

That is a circular saw, it is accompanied by some hammering, both are caused by the Liston's remodeling (adding a room to their house). It seems much louder than it should be coming from next door, but, oh well!

Unless you're talking about the later scene with Cindy and Alice in the kitchen, that is Cindy sliding the stool so she can get up to the level of the counter.

You'd think that Cindy would have learned her lesson about tattling. Even after this episode, her big mouth was always getting one of her siblings into trouble.
