TV TVSquad Talks To Frederick Koehler on "LOST" Who Doesn't Even Know What Happens...

Want to Know What Happens on "Lost"?
Not Even Cast Member Frederick Koehler Knows

So say you're an actor and fan of "Lost" and you happen to get cast on the show. Utopia, right?

Not only do you get to be part of the biggest television event of the year but you can find out what happens in the end months ahead of everyone else.

Hardly.

Frederick Koehler ("Pepper Dennis", "Dexter") came on the island this season as Seamus, a scientist working for Charles Widmore (Alan Dale) who is killed by The Man In Black (Titus Welliver) while guarding the Candidates.

For Koehler, a fan of the show long before his appearance on it, the cliched "dream role" aptly applied.

When TV Squad caught up with Koehler on the set of Death Race: Frankenstein Lives earlier this year, we asked him about "Lost" and immediately got the "I can't talk about it" reply.

But the actor did open up a little about being on the most secretive show on television.

"I can't really talk a lot about the show for obvious reasons, but I'll say this: being on the show was one of the great thrills for me because it's the only show I've ever worked on that I was a fan of before I was on it.

I had never seen it up until season 2 and then my girlfriend went out and got the first two seasons and we watched it within a week to the point where my eyes were bugging out of my head. When I was lucky enough to get on the show, it was probably the giggliest I've ever been in my life. I was almost embarrassed by how geeky I was.

But they didn't reveal any spoilers while I was working. Truthfully, they're about as tight-lipped a group as I've ever come across. They don't talk. You have to hand it to them. They've managed to keep the show a secret without leaking too much information.

Here's what happens when you get the call to be on the show:

They put you on a plane when it's time to go shoot and fly you to Honolulu. You get off the plane and immediately go into a van and are driven me straight to the studio. You get put in a conference room with this one woman -- it's just you and her -- and you sit and sign documents for 45 minutes straight. Forty-five minutes of just signing and initialing your name over and over.

And they're all confidentiality agreements. I've never done anything like that in my life. "Lost" is its own beast.

They made sure that I didn't know much. It was one of those situations where you don't really know how much the other person knows or whether they're just saying they don't know but I think it's probably a little of both.

I was on the show and I have no idea what happens at the end. When I watch it [Sunday], it'll be a surprise to me.
