According to the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest (dated June 1, 2010):

"In a statement, Colleen Zenk Pinter (Barbara, ATWT) has announced she has filed for a dissolution of her marriage to her husband of 23 years, Mark Pinter (ex-Agent Raynor, GH; ex-Grant, AW) "on grounds of infidelity and abandonment". The couple has six children between them."

It is sad. The fact is - both Mark and Colleen left their respective spouses at the time to be together. I guess the old adage is true - "if he/she cheats with you, he/she will cheat ON you".

Poor Colleen. She's had a tough last couple of years...battling oral cancer, losing her job of 32 years, losing one of her close colleagues (Helen Wagner, who was with ATWT since day one) on the show, and now her marriage is breaking up. What a shame.

That is sad. But as you pointed out "once a cheater, always a cheater". I feel bad for Colleen that she has deal with on top of everything else she has already gone through.

What makes it sadder is that I've read interviews with Mark and Colleen over the years and they seemed so happy and in love.

The latest Soap Opera Digest (dated 7/6/2010) has a feature with Colleen. She's dropped the "Pinter" - she's referred to throughout the entire interview as Colleen Zenk.

It certainly has been a difficult few years for Colleen, dealing with her cancer, the cancellation of the soap she has appeared on for thirty-two years and now a divorce...
