It may anger them all right, since it's so obviously a joke and written by someone badly in need of a good psychiatrist (and any kind of funny bone). Gilligan fans, avoid.

I just read the storyline from that link:
I'm guessing it was written by the same person who wrote that hideous screenplay for The Honeymooners movie. Oscar Meyer doesn't produce that much boloney. |

Hahaha, oh The Village Voice. No one takes anything they say seriously, so no worries, you guys. It's just a commentary on how badly Hollywood usually screws up adaptations of classic TV shows. (But as a writer I'm offended by how unfunny a commentary it was, oy).
But with Sherwood as a producer on the film, there's no way he'd let them ruin it this much. I used to love to get The Village Voice and just die laughing reading it when I lived in NYC. Classic.

I was pretty ticked off too when I read it being an avid GI fan since I knew what TV was. I am so sorry to be bearer of bad news. I remember when the new Star Trek movie came out last year that the fans were up in arms over it. But thats going to be a picknic compared to what GI fans will do to this movie if it ever gets made. |

This kind of reminds me of when they said they were going to make a movie of the classic TV show "Dallas" yet turn it into a COMEDY!!
WTF??!??!? |

I hope that it is a joke because that is SO not The Castaways. GI is a CLASSIC and if it is to be remade, it should be remade right.
BTW, I think Jim Carrey would make a great Gilligan and Drew Barrymore would be the perfect Mary Ann |
