The surf craze started inh Malibu, California in 1956 with Gidget and the guys who taught her to surf--it peaked in the summer of 1963!! The book GIDGET by Frederick Kohner --and his daughter Kathy Korner who IS the original Gidget.(Berkley Books) Posted by TV Guy: There was a story on the re-release of the original "Gidget" book on "Entertainment Tonight" (or some show like that) recently. |
