Using in advertising nowadays old songs?ALL smash hits,by the way. They use a snippett of 1973's"(Who's)that Lady"by the Isley Brothers, for Swiffer Sweepers,1969's "Put A Little Love In Your Heart"by Jackie DeShannon,(they changed some of the lyrics-)for Smart Balance Margarine,1958's "Lollipop"by the Chordettes, and the same melody as(but different words)1966's "Wouldn't it Be Nice"by the Beach Boys.Has anyone heard the full-length version of the songs I just mentioned?

I've heard the full-length versions of all the songs you listed, dozens of times on the radio throughout the years.
"Who's That Lady" was used in a TV commercial in the late 1980s or early 1990s. It was for a shampoo or hair conditioner, can't remember which one. |
