TV Mark Moses To Return to "Housewives"

Mark Moses Returning to "Desperate Housewives"
by Sharon Knolle
posted May 6th 2010

An old villain is returning to Wisteria Lane next season: sinister widower Paul Young (Mark Moses), EW's Michael Ausiello reports.

Paul, who was married to the late Mary Alice, was last seen in season 3, serving out a sentence for a murder he didn't actually commit. (Although we know he was perfectly capable of offing nosy neighbor Martha Huber.)

Since leaving "Housewives", Moses has played Sterling Cooper ad man "Duck" Phillips on "Mad Men".

EW reports that Moses will be back on a "full-time basis" next season. Which means we might also see the return of his even creepier son, Zach, who is actually (in true soap opera fashion) the son of Mike Delfino (James Denton).

I dunno about this. I think his character and the mystery surrounding him was played out by the time his character was written out. Seems like a step back, really.

This year was not a good year for DH. They failed yet again to launch new characters (Drea DeMatteo's Angie and her family), came up with a contrived character who's really a serial killer and after having Katherine return from the sanitarium, they didn't know what to do with her so they made her become a lesbian.

The fact that she's become a lesbian doesn't bother me -- it's the unconvincing way they did it. Well, Dana Delany's leaving, so she's probably better off.

I didn't miss Edie this year -- she was always outside the main characters and I found her more annoying than anything else, but the show ran out of gas this year.

I hope it improves next year, but shows going into their seventh season rarely do.

I wonder what is going to happen to Orson. I thought it was great he spoke up about Bree's thoughts on Andrew facing the music dealing with the death of Carlos' mother. What was fair to Orson should be fair to Andrew.
Now Bree has lost a business, a husband and now a son should pay the piper. I suppose next season we will see Susan, Mike and MJs in their new home. Where is Eddie going next?

I have a feeling we've seen the last of Eddie. Bringing him back wouldn't serve a purpose.

I think the producers faked out the media on the ending -- the reports were that Angie was going to die at the hands of her ex. I love the way she faked out Patrick at the end. The look on his face was priceless. I was wondering why she stopped to watch -- I'm thinking, Hey! Get in there!! But it makes sense, because she would rather have sacrificed herself than kill someone else per his alleged plan.

The only real cliffhanger was whose baby is not really theirs.

I knew about Paul's return and I am so excited to see what's going to happen now that he's back.
