I'm sure most of you remember this case. She was the pretty young brunette who was found acting strange on the streets of Oxnard and they were trying to find her identity. It was also stated that she deaf. Spike recently did air this segment with a somewhat surprising update that said shortly after UM aired her case she disappeared and hasn't been seen since. He said they have no idea why she left. I did some online searching and found some articles posted about her on websleuths. Apparently the UM segment aired around February of '93 and possibly the Spike researchers didn't find this but she was found on the streets of Cotati in December of that year. She had a small amount of meth on her and was held briefly mainly only to try and find out her identity. Another surprising bit of information in these articles that UM didn't mention....it was found out that she wasn't deaf but had perfect hearing!! They were disappointed that she was just acting. Apparently at the home a balloon popped behind her and she jumped so by measuring her brain waves an audiologist was able to determine she had perfect hearing. Her so called "sign language" was just made up and no one could follow it. She did seem to communicate somehow with someone at the home and they think she had recently given birth to a baby girl and came to California on a plane. They also said she is wary of men and had been brought in at least once badly bruised. They do believe she could be ******** and say she has the mentality of a 9 year old. She can write letters and numbers but they never make any sense. Sad case and it sounds like she is still wandering the streets. Maybe this most recent airing of her case will cause someone to call in and identify her.

I was surprised to hear that she just up and left and no one had seen her according to the recent Spike episode. You've provided a lot more information than the UM episodes - interesting stuff. I hope we can uncover more information on this case!

LMAO That is awesome. I recently watched this segment and for the first time I was skeptical of the "she had had a baby" story. It was because while watchign her do her "sign language" with the nurses she draws a stick figure in a recatngle and the lady goes "is that a baby?", to which Lucxi makes a face like someone farted, so the nurse air-rocks an air-baby in her arms and says "BAby??!?". Then Lucxqki starts nodding emphatically and pointing.
I was just like "Huh?!". It totally dawned on me that that nurse could be 100% incorrect with her interpretations. At the least she could just bewrong but at the worst she's aware that she's scamming the hospital and is just getting a fat state paycheck for her work. I also giggled at how the re-enactment had the girl “frolicking” on the median like an elementary school age child but when you watch the real LughcXX4i, vamping while brushing her hair and posing in front of the mirror, she definitely doesn’t behave like an innocent child. Thanks for the info. |

That segment did seem a bit hokey but I never imagined that she had been faking it. Weird.

Meth, huh?
I guess that explains her 'Jane Fonda Workout meets Paula Abdul' dance moves.... and also her questionable fashion choices. |
