ABC is in discussions with CBS Warner Bros. to pick up "The New Adventures of Old Christine," marking the third year in a row that ABC had discussed taking the show, Nellie Andreeva reports on Deadline.com.

ABC would likely pair the comedy with "The Middle," the comedy starring Patricia Heaton, the article says. But there are other potential show-moving deals afoot, with talk that CBS' "Ghost Whisperer" may also shift to ABC. The fate of the show may depend on whether CBS decides to keep scripted programs on at least part of Friday evenings, given the ratings decline experienced by the networks on that day.

I've never actually seen an episode, but if ABC does pick it up, and Romantically Challenged gets a renewal (which I haven't seen either), I can definitely see ABC planning an hour of multi-camera comedy on Tuesdays.

TNAOOC is not listed on ABC'S fall schedule announced today. There is no mention of it being scheduled at mid season either.

Variety just announced that TNAOOC has been officially canceled by CBS! I am really sorry to see it go........

Damn, I guess that's the end of the road for this show. I had a feeling CBS would cancel it this year, and I really thought that ABC would pick it up.
