Question Here Come the Brides?

Reposted from old board:

Posted by JennyLee22:

Does anyone know if they are showing "Here come the brides" anywhere on T.V. - It's a 1970's show with Bobby Sherman & David Soul.....

Posted by callmetootie:

I don't think that it has been in reruns for a while. I think that this show starred Mitzi Hoag.

I LOVE THAT SHOW! WISH TV LAND WOULD RUN IT!

Posted by west:

The Odessey Cable network is changing its name to The Hallmark Channel this coming August. They announced they would be carrying Here Comes the Brides, in addition to Hart to Hart and The Rifleman. Hope your cable company carries this channel(mine does not).
Good Luck

I always had a crush on Robert Brown!

Posted by Frenay:

m I liked Robert Brown too. It's been quite awhile since it's been shown on cable. wish tvland will rerun it. I don't get the Hallmark channel.

It's good to see it on tv again. I enjoyed this show in the 60's. Bobby Sherman was my fave in it. I remember being on vaction somewhere in the 70's might've been HAWAII & caught some re-runs there.

I hear from a reliable source that it will start airing the afternoon of August 19th on the Hallmark channel...

Posted by Sean Snow:

It will be on Sundays at 3:00 PM starting the 19th

I'm an avid HCTB fan. We have not seen the show in Australia for 30 years. There is a terrific HCTB fan group that you can join if you want. CHeck out the hctb official page for details.

es i wish tv land would show here come the brides!!!! what a fun show. does anyone know if there are vhs tapes on these episodes??

Posted by bigj:

I was recently informed on a different board that TV Land won't run reruns of series unless X-amount of episodes were aired.

Apparently, HCTB's didn't have enough episodes to qualify. Bummer, I do remember watching reruns of the series in the past, however, I don't remember the network involved. I don't subsribe to the "Hallmark Channel", so I guess I'm SOL as far as seeing HCTB's reruns, my loss!

I believe William Schallert was also in it,then again he's been
in almost EVERY tv series from Star Trek to Get Smart to
The Patty Duke Show!!!!

btw:The basic plot of the series where the Bolt brothers bring
a shipload of young, single women to the Northwest from
New England is based on actual events, the TRUE story was
written up in a book called "Mercer's Belles".

Sorry the Bolts never existed!
