There was an episode with a very minor scene I am trying to locate. In the scene a Spanish speaking person entered the newsroom and Mary tries to communicate with him/her without much success. Ted says something like like "Let me handle this, Mary" and then proceeds to "speak" to the person in a mixture of Spanish words he knew and English words with a Spanish accent. It was classic though very brief. Too brief to show up an any episode list I fear. Any help would be appreciated.

The scene you're describing could be the season 2 episode, "He's No heavy, He's My Brother" although it's a bit different than your description.
In this episode the girl is American and works in the film room. She went to Mexico on vacation. Ted, saying he knows Spanish, says to the girl in English with a Spanish accent, "Senorita, how are you?" Mary said, "Ted, that isn't Spanish." Ted's reply was, "But she understood me, didn't she?" |

Welcome to the Boards Jimhepburn.
I thought it was from that episode too but wasn't too sure by the way it was described. |
