Hey Gang,
There's an interview done by the folks who put out the Emmys with Jean. They discuss her career and all its aspects. From what I've seen, it was done around the time of Return to Me being in theaters. You can find it here: http://www.emmytvlegends.org/intervi...jean-stapleton Enjoy

I saw her being interviewed on youtube once, part of a tv legends package. She seemed very cold, and private, almost snobbish and/or standoffish, which really saddened and displeased me. I was unable to watch the rest of it as a result. Almost a complete antithesis of Edith Bunker. I suppose that's a testament to her acting ability. I did love her performances as Eleanor Roosevelt & as Aunt Mary in the film of the same name. I guess I was disappointed too because my own mother, who passed almost 9 years ago now, reminded me somewhat of Edith Bunker's character. She had a lot of the same traits, considerate, fun-loving, and maybe not scholarly, but she could really pack a whallop with some of her words of wisdom. Both mom and Edith too tended to tell long-winded stories
I really miss them both, even though I have Edith on DVD and on TV Land reruns, but it's not the same
