"General Hospital" Actress Admits Going Bald Becomes Spokesperson For Hair Prevention
Finola Hughes has become a spokesmodel for a leading hairloss prevention company after turning to the experts when her locks started falling out in clumps when she became a mom.
The English-born "General Hospital" star was left devastated when she started going bald and admits there seemed to be no other alternative than to turn to wigs. She says, "Either the stress or the hormones had a huge effect on my hair and it started to come out in clumps and I lost a lot of the front volume of it. I didn't know what to do... all you can do is put a little Band Aid on it... There wasn't anything on the market and I didn't want to put anything into my body that wasn't natural... and doctors aren't as aware of how devastating it is for a woman." Hughes has now signed up as a pitchwoman for Viviscal - a new haircare and medication line that offers help to the 40 million women in America who are suffering from hair loss. She says, "It's a natural marine-based protein (supplement) that features shampoos and conditioners. I use the haircare and it works." http://www.starpulse.com/news/index....comes_hairloss |
