Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to jog my memory about this case. I think I may have only seen it TWICE on television since it first aired (once on NBC and once on Lifetime). I have also seen it dubbed in Spanish on Youtube (Misterios sin Resolver). Youtube is sometimes the only place where I can get these UM stories. Anyhow, a teenage girl runs away with her boyfriend in the 1960's, never to be seen again. She was escaping an alcoholic and emotionally abusive mother. She was an only child and lived on a ranch with her parents. I remember that her father was very loving but strict, but the mother never really had any love toward her. I remember one of the UM interviewees stating that the mother never even wantedt o haev children, but the father could have had 10 children and loved them all just the same. The girl had run away with her boyfriend once before, but her mother found her, brought her home, and then forbade her to leave the house except to go to church and school. The second time the girl and boyfriend ran away, they were never heard from again. The mother died sometime in the early 1990's, and supposedly left her entire estate to her daughter, and this is why her story was featured on UM, because she was a lost heir. Anyhow, does anyone remember this case? Does anyone even know if the girl had been found? Thanks so much for any info you have! |
