Default New coverart for Season 2?!?!?

It's excellent! But I'm wondering which one they will end up using. I definitely love this one. Great photo!

I like this one to. It's kind of funny the way she's got her mouth hanging open. What episode is that from?

It's actually from the last episode of the season "Lucy Enters a Baking Contest". Great choice for a cover pic! I just hope this is the cover they use. LOVE IT!

This is the new updated version, which is replacing the picture with the sword. This is a world of difference when compared to the poor choice that was chosen initially. Perhaps there were many complaints or objections from the fans about the cover first chosen. This cover reflects the spirit of Lucy much better IMHO. This cover is great now!

Thats much better! Maybe we just needed to have her signature red hair visible!

It takes alot to shock me, but perhaps yes some executive powers that be actually got wind of all our most universal disgust of the original cover, it is way too odd that we were all pretty much in agreement that we didn't care for the cover and now we have a totally different cover that is TERRIFIC! I LOVE IT! You never know who is reading threads at SITCOMS! After all, I don't like to discuss my private business, but have admitted when the occasion calls for it, I have worked and continue to work in the TV industry for 30 straight years now.

This may also have been a last-minute business decision on the part of CBS.

About three years ago, Sony was set to go with a great, rare, full-length pic of Elizabeth Montgomery and Dick York for Bewitched Season 5 on DVD.

It was quickly changed, when someone said that they needed a large head-shot of Liz on the box so that her face would "jump out" at the casual shopper seeing the product on the shelves and make them go over and pick it up and have a closer look.

The first cover photo would certainly not make Lucy stand out to someone just browsing. This new one with her famous red hair is 100% better.

Just a thought, although I would like to think that someone at CBS got wind of our displeasure and made a quick and welcome change to the cover art.

I also really like the fact that they are trying to continue the "I Love Lucy" box set theme of having a large photo of Lucy from one the season's more famous episodes as the central image, though it's harder to do that with "The Lucy Show" because the episodes of that series are not as ingrained into the general public's consciousness as well as those of ILL (even though I've always liked TLS more).

I love it and from my favorite episode of the second season too!! The line delivery is so funny from all the parties involved. Mary Jane Croft as snooty Audrey Simmons "oh, that sounds delicious!" to Lucy mocking Vivian's "I told you so! I told you so! I told you so!"

So glad it is now confirmed that this is the new coverart they will use. Lucie said that her mother was always good in the domestic situations and she was right on the money. This cover shows that side of Lucy and it's a great pic to attract casual buyers. Even though these episodes are not as well-known, I can see how someone would be intrigued by something of Lucy's that they haven't seen that would be in the tradition of "I Love Lucy" in some aspect. Great job CBS! Let's hope July gets here soon.

That's good because the baking contest was one of the second season's funniest episodes.

Well unlike most of you I did like the original cover art with Lucy in the period costume and wig, I thought it was very attractive but I love the revised version too. I wonder what will be on season three's cover art in October?
