Default Guy "kidnapped" or killed from his girlfriend's house-was this even a segment?

So i'm not even sure if this was just a dream of mine (I sometimes have weird dreams) or an actual segment but I was watching the Michael Rosenblum segment, and it reminded me of a segment I'd seen before.

A guy was either living with his girlfriend or was over at his girlfriend's house someone came over and he went missing and I don't think he's ever been seen again. I think I recall that quite possibly his girlfriend may have been involved and i'm almost quite certain one of his parents was pleading for his return.

I'm pretty sure this wasn't a dream but was an actual segment 8) I think this was set in the 1970s and somehow a car I think played a role in this. Like he was supposed to be somewhere, or maybe his car was found.

Yeah no one is probably going to remember this...
oh well!

Yeah but they found Kurt dead.

I'm wondering if you're thinking of Tim Molnar, bryndis. Here's some info about the case, just a snippet:

I also saw a segment on the show "Disappeared" about a boy named Lee Cutler, who basically took off one day ala Chris McCandless to go live in the forest. His car was found miles away from his house and they found his personal belongings as well scattered around a river. The police believe he purposely put his stuff there. Maybe this is what you are thinking of?

Bryndis believes it was a 1970s case. Lee Cutler disappeared in 2007. Therefore, if Bryndis is correct about the time period, then it could not be the Lee Cutler case. In any event, UM never did a segment on Lee Cutler since he disappeared five years after the show stopped producing new episodes.

Ok. Now I remember the case. The guy was a friend of someone that was killed....someone broke into a house, the teenage girl's and her "guy friend" was there at the time (wrong place at the wrong time) and killed them both.
I think they were stuffed in a car or something afterwards, maybe a big knife was used...this sounds kind of gruseome.

OK definitely not Tim Molnar then. And now I'm stumped.

I'm beginning to suspect that no such case was ever on UM, but was featured on some other show instead. We could still try to figure out the case, but if we continue to be stumped then we may have to assume it was never on UM.

This may be the Rick Church segment. Correct me if I'm wrong but Rick's girlfriend (cannot remember her name) had a little brother who had a friend sleep over the night Church murdered her family.

His ex-girlfriend was Colleen Ritter. It was only her parents who died. The brother and the friend both survived, as did Colleen (of course).

It may have been a case on cold case or something else on A&E.

I think you may be referring to the guy, a mechanic with a bright orange mustang I think, who was murdered in TX by his girlfriend and some guy she had seduced. The body's never been found but the established he was dead by teh sheer amount of blood found in the house. The dad got the Vidoq Society involved and they helped to try and get justice for him.

That sounds really familiar and I think that's probably the case.

The victim in that case was Roger Scott Dunn (although he was generally called by his middle name). But UM never did a segment on that case. However, both Cold Case Files and Forensic Files did. The episode of the latter was titled "The Killing Room" (aka "Room With a Clue").
