Which version of - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The character "Larry Tate"did you like better?The first version(both black and white seasons and the first color season),where he was pretty nice,but not nearly as greedy as in version 2,where he and Darrin(Dick YorK)were a team,or the second version(beginning with season 4)when he was still pretty nice,but let his greed get the better of him,and beginning with season 4,acting greedy,and threatening to fire Darrin(Dick York,Dick Sargent)if McMann and Tate didn't get the account.I much preferred version one of Larry.Version 2 got old awfully fast.How do the rest of you feel?

I like Larry Tate throughout the show. He was a funny guy and even though he did act greedy and selfish at times, you knew he would always want to keep Darrin with him.

I do think Larry got greedier and bossier as time went on, but it's a testament to David White's ability as an actor that you could never hate Larry. I always loved the twinkle in his eye whenever he would come up with some get rich quick scheme.

Larry was always greedy, and an ass kisser too. He could also be pretty sleazy when it come to women as well.
