The CLOSING theme to "The Twilight Zone"(The ORIGINAL,much softer, eerier version was used in first season episodes "Where is Everybody","One for the Angels","Mr.Denton on Doomsday","The Sixteen-Millimeter Shrine","Walking Distance","Escape Clause","The Lonely","Time Enough at Last"(with the late Burgess Meredith as Henry Bemis--a classic)"Judgment Night","And When The Sky Was Opened","The Four Of Us Are Dying","What You Need","Perchance to Dream","Third from the sun","The Monsters are Due on Maple Street","Elegy","I Shot An Arrow into The Air","Mirror Image","The Hitch-hiker""The Purple Testament","Long Live Walter Jameson","A Nice Place to Visit","Execution","A Stop at Willoughby"(another classic with a brilliant perfomance by the late James Daly as Gart Williams),"The After Hours"(with Anne Francis as Marsha White),"The Mighty Casey",Mr.Bevis","The Chaser" and "A World of His Own",by the late Bernard Herrmann),the opening AND closing themes by the late Vic Mizzy of "The Addams Family(the closing features no singing, just finger snaps, organ, clock ticking, whistle, and drum),and "Green Acres"(again nosinging, and kazoo, and other sounds),"Get Smart"(NBC version),"Perry Mason"(second season on),and a lot of others.

The closing theme of "Cheers" is an instrumental version of the show's opening theme, which has a vocal track.

The Rifleman had a great instrumental closing theme. Another nice closing theme with no vocals: Petticoat Junction.

..."CHEERS"' closing theme is actually different from the opening: it's slower, a bit melancholy and more "reflective", as though you were leaving the bar for another week.

And the ORIGINAL CLOSING theme by the late Bernard Herrmann was also used in the classic from season one "A Passage for Trumpet"written by Rod Serling and starring Jack Klugman as has-been trumpeter Joey Crown.
