Still, I'm thrilled to know the release date and to see the cover art.

I am glad that it is coming out in July! I am glad that they are including cast commercials again!!

Some may disagree with me, but I was not very fond of the cover art at all. Surely there must be a better picture to showcase Lucy Carmichael and Lucille Ball.

At any rate, this is a must buy for me!

I agree, that is not the most flattering cover art. But more important is the fact we are actually getting uncut, remastered episodes, so I won't gripe too much about it.

The cover art blows. Where is Lucy's red hair? Why aren't the little background scenes in color? This season has Lucy in color for the first time! No mention of that?

Thats the way I feel. I'm a little disappointed in the cover art also, but on the other hand, who cares! What matters is that we have a release date and the second season's remastered, uncut episodes!!!

WOW!!! about 5 of us are all in agreement, thrilled it's coming, would buy it without any cover art, but my first reaction to the cover art was "yuck, is that the best they can do????" it has no attraction to the average consumer while browsing the aisles, the numerous public domain releases of the same old "Lucy" episodes have had much better covers.....hopefully this news will get to them and they can change it.....it really is an awful cover!

Honestly, I could care less what is on the box. Just as long as seasons 2 - 6 are out soon!

They've posted a high resolution of the package art. I guess its not THAT bad. I am glad its uniform with the first season artwork.

As usual Jude yes we are in complete agreement and even though I am still not thrilled with even the better 3D shot of the cover, I was very happy they used the correct season two "The Lucy Show" logo......now how will they handle those aburpt "The Lucy Show.... brought to you buy....cut to black!" Back in the 70's my local NY WOR-TV Channel 9 used to run the opening up to that point.....hopefully they will have an option to watch in broadcast mode as in season one....

I'm sure they will have vintage commercials and stuff for this opening as well. I have an audio mp3 of a second season opening with Log Cabin as the sponsor.

I like the cover art. The background figures match how the background figures on the season one box set were presented which is great. The only thing I don't like about it is that the title "The Lucy Show" isn't done the same way as season one with the red colours used for some of the words. But again it's great to have this release. I wonder if Jimmy Garrett is back participating in this box set? I hope so

I also wonder if they will continue with the unnecessary but I guess nice protective identical outer cardboard sleeve like in season 1, if not, they will not line up with the same height/thickness and they won't look like they belong together as a series set when next to eachother. aahhh...the things us serious TV DVD collectors think of? Am I the only one?...lol....
