Thumbs up ABC/NBC/CBS: You Decide!!

Which do you think is better, ABC, NBC, or CBS?
I personally think CBS is the best. This is because some of my first TV shows were on CBS (I was born in '89) like Murphy Brown, Major Dad, Designing Women, and other ones I can't think of now. I also like ABC because they had some of my first shows there too, like Coach (born the same day it premiered) and Roseanne.

The last time I watched ABC religiously was when Full House was on. And I'd try to catch TGIF once and a while. (At the end I found myself only watching Boy Meets World.) The only good show left on ABC is Millionaire(which is overplayed) and Norm. On CBS, I watch Some of My Best Friends(funny show) and I watched Cosby and Work With Me--before, surprisingly...they CANNED THEM! Today, NBC lacks good shows but in the past, they had better shows(in my opinion anyway). Since I don't watch much on those channels today, because a lot of shows today aren't good... I'd have to go with their past performances. And that's why I picked NBC. Just in case anyone wanted to know why I picked NBC, there you go!

Adam

My personal favorite is ABC. I really think they make quality shows, its just it didn't get to be big until the late 60s, and by then CBS and NBC were established networks, so therefore, it lacks viewers because of that. Then, of course, NBC has good shows too. I have this grudge w/ CBS. (don't ask why, I just think CBS is evil. haha)

Actually, i don't think any of them are the best.. the best network is The WB.. Felicity, Dawson's Creek and Popular... are the best shows.. ABc is ok.. i watch the Geena Davis show every week and Dharma and greg.. NBC used to be ok in the 80's, because they had great shows like, Facts of life, 227 and the golden Girls. CBS was ok, in fact cbs aired some of my faveortie shows, like Desinging women and Murphy Brown., and the nanny and Knots landing.. but they lost all my respect when they treated Cybill and Dr. Quinn Medicien Women so bad... And FOX was ok., with shows like Melrose place, party of five, 90210 and god help us, even Models inc.,... but now they have no good shows on... they need a good primetime soap on their network, hopefully Aaron Spelling will come through with another FOX drama series...that is more like a 90210 or Melrose place, than dark angle or x-files.

I have to vote for FOX. Every show I watch religiously is on Fox... However back when I was growing up in the 80s I'd have to go with NBC, when it had Family Ties, ALF, Hogan Family, Silver Spoons, Punky Brewster, etc.

Based on the run of the TV shows, I have diferent favcorites.

70's - CBS

80's - NBC

90's - *Tie* First Half of Decade-ABC, Last Half of Decade - FOX/

Who will be the winner in this decade. We'll all find out in 9 years.

70's: CBS
80's: NBC
90's: NBC/ABC tie

It looks like CBS is good again, but I remember how craptacular they were in the 80's, and haven't tuned them in since (with the exception of the Price is Right).

70's ABC - with the likes of Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, and more

80's - NBC with Diff'rent Strokes, The Facts of Life, Family Ties, and more - my favorite decade

90's NBC - although I can't say I have any favorites from the 90's except for Seinfeld

I would have to say NBC. I grew up watching that network (Diffrent Strokes, FOL, Family Ties, Cosby Show, Gimme A Break, Silver Spoons, 227, Alf, Hogan Family, A Different World, etc) and still watch shows like Friends and Will & Grace on that network. I do think pay-cable has come a long way tho. My absolute favorite current sitcom is SEX AND THE CITY, which is on HBO. And I also love Queer As Folk on Showtime.

It all depends on which day of the week.
Sundays- FOX <~ I'll watch from 8-10..but I only watch the X-files when I'm not loaded w/ hw..not very often!
Mondays- WB <~ I've been watching the Gilmore Girls repeats..otherwise I don't really watch tv on mondays
Tuesdays- FOX <~ only from like 8-9
Wednesdays- FOX <~usually hold my attention from 8-10
Thursdays- WB <~c'mon Gilmore Girls and Charmed!
Fridays- never see tv on fridays
Saturdays- CBS<~ That's Life is a very good show..I always have to tape it though

Overall, FOX is probably the network of the year for 2000-01...
