Here are some pics of DS in his two-episode gig as Sheriff Grady Byrd on Dukes (James "Rosco P. Coltrane" Best was on strike for better working conditions).

I remember when Dick Sargent died, I had known he was ill with cancer because I saw him on ET a few months before. Dick was a funny man, enjoyed his appearances on 'Three's Company', 'I Dream Of Jeannie' and 'The Dukes of Hazzard', not to mention 'The Love Boat', and 'Charlie's Angels'. If James Best didn't return (luckily he settled his strike), I would have liked to have seen Dick be his replacement, Grady was hilarious.

He also played an ER doctor on an episode of Alice - I think it was in the Jolene era.
