Default If that slimy private eye Charlie Leach

From the black and white episodes the 2-pt."Follow that Witch",and "The Catnapper",both from second season,HAD returned in any of the color episodes with Dick York as Darrin episodes, what do you think would have happened to him?I think if Leach had run afoul of them again,or the Witches' Council, they would have fixed Charlie Leach but good. What do the rest of you think would've happened to him?

I didn't like the character or the episode much, Sam fixed him by zapping him to Mexico or somewhere that would take him some time to get home, especially if he didn't have money.

Ditto! He was a big bully (and a henpecked one, too - that wife of his was a real trip). The actor who played him looked and sounded a bit like Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond).

By the way,to the above poster:The actor who played Charlie Leach was actor Robert Strauss, and his character Charlie Leach, tops the list as my least favorite minor character.I'm glad Samantha gave him what was coming to himAnyway,if he had run up against them again, and the Witches'Council had found out about it,they would REALLY have fixed him,and that would have been the end of Charlie Leach.

I think he got the message and figured he better leave Sam alone.

^Yea, I suppose that is true, but it is strange that he didn't make at least one more appearance in the color episodes......."The Return of Charlie Leach" , this time finding himself not just against Sam, Darrin, Endora, but also Maurice

Oh, I knew that. I just meant that the actor bore a resemblance to what Brad Garrett looks like now. BG would've just been a kid when Bewitched was originally on.

Oh, I would've LOVED to see Maurice have a go at Mr. Leach!! Talk about a missed opportunity!!

I don't think they could have done much else with the character anyway.

True - both he and the wife were very one-dimensional. Both greedy and mean. Good riddance!!
