Titans QB Vince Young still believes he's headed for enshrinement in the Pro Football Half of Fame ... just now he's confident he has the maturity to get there.
Young told the Tennessean that he is ready to assume the leadership of the Titans, after his career was revived in the second half of last season when he won back the starting job and nearly led the team from an 0-6 start to the playoffs. "I am willing to do whatever it takes to get us there, from staying in shape, doing extra film work, talking to the guys that are being lazy, not taking care of their responsibilities. The guys that are being lazy and want to go party … I feel like I know about all that stuff because I did that. ... We need to be all focused.' " Titans coach Jeff Fisher told the Tennessean that Young is acting like the team leader and is heavily involved in the Titans' offseason program. Just six months since Young languished on the Titans' bench as questions circled about whether he (as the third overall pick in 2006) was turning into a draft bust, Young is refocused on his Hall of Fame dreams: "You know me, I always have to prove something, but I always look for that challenge. I've said it before and I mean it — I want to be in the Hall of Fame one day and right now I am going to keep working like some of the guys who entered the Hall of Fame this year. I want to continue to use the things people say I can't do to use as motivation to show the world Vince is still working and staying strong." http://content.usatoday.com/communit...hall-of-fame/1 |

Slightly misleading headline on USA Today's part. In the article, he says he wants to be in the Hall of Fame (who doesn't?) and that he's at a point where he's willing to do whatever it takes to get there.
Will he make it in? Stranger things have happened. And this IS a guy last year who led the Titans from 0-6 under Collins to 8-8, only one game out of the playoffs. |

Being a Titan fan, I'm glad he's gone. Don't know if he'll make it to the Hall of Fame the way things are going for him now. But I guess he still has time, if he grows up and can stop injuring his legs.
