Hello everybody. Great board; enjoy reading it! My question is why don't they tell the dates on a lot of these segments? It seems to me that that's an important part of the story. Sometimes the dates will sneak up on you but the majority won't tell them. Also, if I want to check out a specific episode how do I do that other than going page by page? Thanks!

They used to tell the dates all the time on the original Unsolved Mysteries with Robert Stack, but they do/did a pretty half-a**ed job of that with the segments on the Dennis Farina-hosted ".....Mysteries". I don't know why. Maybe they just cut back on info. to try to put as many segments as possible into a one-hour time-frame.
As far as finding dates for the cases featured on the show, the best I can think of is to just type in keywords related to the case on google and see what you can find. That's what I do when I want to try and find more info. on a case. |

Welcome.
![]() Yeah, Spike's versions s*ck for that very reason. I think they don't give dates because they're trying to hide how old the cases are (which is apparent anyway, from the hairstyles, fashion and just the look of things). If you get a chance to see the original old segments, it was much better and more like a documentary with full interviews and info. The dates are like the most vital thing if they're trying to refresh anyone's memory and solve 80s cases, so that's just stupid of them to not say, lol. |
