EIE Not Mentioned on Live Chat w/Warner - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I'm disappointed that nobody asked about Eight is Enough on Warner Studios live chat last night (4-5-10). I tried to, but couldn't get called on.

I would think now that they are done with The Waltons, this would be a shoe-in!

My understanding about EIE is that negotiations are ongoing with the family of the man who wrote the book the series is based on. Unless or until these negotiations can be successfully concluded the show won't be released on DVD.

^ It's too bad, too. I remember watching all five seasons of this when I was a kid. I would love to see this on DVD.

I'd love it to be on DVD myself. I haven't seen it since I was a kid in the mid-80s and it was in syndication!!

David Lambert from tvshowsondvd.com did mention EIE (amongst others). Apparently it is "under active consideration" and has been on their 'list' for a long time.
