Default Announcers on game shows: Remember These?

We all remember such game show announcers as Johnny Gilbert,Don Pardo,Charlie 0'Donnell(all veterans and great in their own right),the late great Johnny Olsen,Rich Fields,Burton Richardson, and the late Rod Roddy and the late Gene Wood, but does anyone remember these announcers-the late Jack Clark,Kenny Williams(who was the announcer for the original NBC version of "The Hollywood Squares"with Peter Marshall,"Gambit"hosted by Wink Martindale, and all the other Heatter-Quigley shows-What happened to Heatter-Quigley,by the way?),Bill Wendell, and Wayne Howell?

I remember all of those men who announced game shows. Jack Clark, who also hosted some game shows, including Dealer's Choice and Cross-Wits and was also in commercials for National Geographic. Kenny Williams was the voice for every Heatter-Quigley show, starting with Video Village in 1960 and continuing until Merrill Heatter and Bob Quigley ended their partnership in 1981. I should also point out that there were only two HQ shows that Williams did not announce. One was a short-lived 1967 show titled Temptation, where Carl King announced and The Magnificant Marble Machine that featured the voice of veteran announcer Johnny Gilbert. Both shows were hosted by Art James.

As for Bill Wendell and Wayne Howell, they worked on a number of NBC shows including Sale of the Century and Concentration. Howell became the announcer on Concentration when Bob Clayton was promoted to host. Wendell was also the announcer on Late Night With David Letterman, and stayed with the show when it moved to CBS until he retired.

Unfortunately, all four of these voices have been silenced. May they rest in peace.
