Canned Laughter in Norman Lear sitcoms - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Is it just me or has anybody else ever noticed the same canned laughter being throughout AITF and other Norman Lear sitcoms? I know they were taped in front of a live audience but they always added in the SAME exact guffawish laughter. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXcIomACNo0. Watch at 4:50. That sound drives me crazy.

I noticed it from watching Maude before. I think that I may have heard this same "laugh" in other shows that are not NL shows, but I am not sure. I kind of like the canned laughter. You used to be able to tell what era/years a show was from based on the canned laughter. (among other things too)
