Jeff Conaway's manager says the U.S. actor and television personality is back home after a stay in a nursing facility to treat a broken hip.
The "Grease" and "Taxi" star has battled an addiction to drugs for many years and recently appeared on the TV reality series "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew." The 59-year-old actor broke his hip during a fall at his house in January, his girlfriend, Vikki Lizzi, said. Lizzi said after the mishap that Conaway wasn't recovering from his injury and addiction, and claimed "he wants to die at home." However, manager Kathy Boole told E! News Friday the actor is doing better. "Jeff is at home with Vikki, continuing to work on getting stronger and weaning himself off the pain medicine," Boole said. http://www.upi.com/Entertainment_New...6631270250468/ |

Such a sad story. Where there's life there's hope, but I honestly would not be surprised if he doesn't recover. I hope I'm wrong...

Agreed, drugs have ravaged Jeff's body & mind. I hope for a recovery of some sort.

I hope your wrong too! I hope Jeff is able to recover. But as you say it wouldn't exactly come as a surprise if he doesn't. A very sad story indeed.

Star's managers always say the actor is doing fine or getting better. Why do they lie to us? Look at Bernie Mac. His manager also said he was getting better, and then he died.
I hope this isn't the case for Jeff. I mean, I know he has to die sometime. But I was hoping he would beat this drug addiction and die many years later as the result of old age. |

Very sad story. Back in 2002, he was supposed to tour with Mackenzie Phillips in "Same Time, Next Year" but backed out at the last minute due to "health" reasons. I was looking forward to seeing Jeff on stage, but Adrian Zmed, who took his place, was able to pull off the role well.
