Dear Nick at Nite Viewer Services,
I have a proposal for Nick at Nite: to make a deal with Sony Pictures Domestic Television Distribution for Nick at Nite to become the shared cable home (with TBS) of the hit 1990-1998 sitcom "Seinfeld," which was created by Larry David. David cast successful stand-up comic Jerry Seinfeld as himself as a struggling stand-up comic living in New York City who hung out mostly with his 3 best friends: Elaine Benes (played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus), his ex-girlfriend and platonic pal; George Costanza (played by Jason Alexander), his worrywart best friend; and Cosmo Kramer (played by Michael Richards), Jerry's neighbor. During its first 3 seasons (1990-1993), ratings for "Seinfeld" were very low--so low that, at one point, when it was up against Disney sitcom "Home Improvement" on the ABC Television Network, the network had to move "Seinfeld" from Wednesday nights to Thursday nights just to give it a chance. It was that move that eventually turned "Seinfeld" into a true TV classic. Tentatively, Nick at Nite shall welcome "Seinfeld" to its regular schedule starting Monday, May 31, 2010 (20 years to the day of the series' debut) with a week-long marathon titled "The Seinfeld Show About Nothing Marathon," showcasing 40 episodes (10 per night) featuring some of the most memorable moments in "Seinfeld" history from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. ET/PT (encoring from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m., and again the last 2 episodes of each night from 6-7 a.m. ET/PT) complete, uncut, & unedited, as originally broadcast on the NBC Television Network. After the marathon, all 180 half-hour episodes of "Seinfeld" shall air on Nick at Nite, with TBS airing the series weekday afternoons like it does today, while Nick at Nite airs "Seinfeld" 7 nights a week with 2 back-to-back episodes starting at 11 p.m. ET/PT, as originally aired on NBC. Sincerely, Grundoon Katt |

I haven't watched Nick at Nite in over 10 years and the addition of Seinfeld would be another excuse not to.
