Movie First Look: Yogi Bear & Boo Boo From CGI Movie

Yogi Bear could be good thanks mainly to good casting: Dan Ackroyd as the voice of Yogi, Anna Faris (Scary Movie, House Bunny), TJ Miller (She’s Out Of My League, Cloverfield) and Andy Daly (Semi Pro, East Bound and Down).

On the flip side we have Justin Timberlake (Shrek 3) voicing Booboo. To top it all off this Yogi film was written by Brad Copeland who brought us Wild Hogs (in his defense he also wrote on “Arrested Development”). In the directing chair is the relatively unproven Eric Brevig (Journey To The Center of the Earth).

It's all in the voices and I don't think Dan Ackroyd and Justin Timberlake could pull it off, the original voices can't be matched or replaced.

I do not understand the need to have Hollywood actors portray classic cartoon characters. It's bad enough that they're thinking of having Mike Myers voice Marvin the Martian.

Tom Kenny does a good Boo-Boo and Jeff Bergman or Maurice LaMarche can do a good Yogi. I doubt people will flock to the theatre just because some Holly actor is voicing a character.

the voices for yogi and boo boo will be ruined with a voice casting such as that. awful.

No one--and I mean no one will ever replace Daws Butler (Yogi) and
Don Messick (Boo Boo).

I remember to this day
chasing you bears away
And how you hid in the trees
Waiting for me to leave
Will power made you be still
Cause you knew I wanted to kill
Now I've been tricked again and you're free

Me and you and a bear named Boo Boo
Chasing each other across the land
Me and you and a bear named Boo Boo
Someday I'll catch you if I can

I can still recall
The loot from your last haul
And how I caught you stealing back then
But my traps didn't work
And I tried for what it was worth
Another escape and now you're gone again

Me and you and a bear named Boo Boo
Chasing each other across the land
Me and you and a bear named Boo Boo
Someday I'll catch you if I can

I'll never forget the day
The campers came to stay
And the thought of catching you wracked my brain
Now it seems like only yesterday
That you stole their picnic baskets away
You struck fast and were gone again

Me and you and a bear named Boo Boo
Chasing each other across the land
Me and you and a bear named Boo Boo
Someday I'll catch you if I can

Agree!
And I don't understand either why in many cartoon movies the carachters are like parodies (is this the right term to use? ) of the actors that will give them the voice (for example Shark Tale). I hate this thing.
