Shirley's actually 76 today, born 3/31/1934. She's about 1 1/2 months younger than Florence Henderson, born 2/14/1934, who played another famous tv mom at the same time. I remember when the tombstone of a character had a birthdate of 3/31/1934, and I thought "Wow, that's Shirley Jones' birthdate" coincidentally. It likely was no coincidence, since Shirley's son, Shaun Cassidy, created and produced American Gothic.
