Dear Nick at Nite Viewer Services,
I have a proposal for Nick at Nite: to make a deal with FreMantle Media for Nick at Nite to have exclusivity in airing reruns of the hit 1983-1986 TV game show "Press Your Luck." The show, hosted by Peter Tomarken (RIP), had 3 contestants per show answer 4 relatively easy questions at the start of each round, followed by a turn on the "Big Board" at the end of each round, but the contestants had to avoid a Whammy!, a series of cartoon drawings by Savage Steve Holland. Whichever contestant had the most money at the end of the game won and got the chance to play again the next day, with the champion retiring after the $25,000 limit in Season 1 and $50,000 thereafter. Tentatively, Nick at Nite shall welcome "Press Your Luck" to its regular schedule on Monday, September 19, 2011 (28 years to the day of the series' debut) with a week-long marathon from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. ET/PT each night called "Nick at Nite Presses Your Luck," showcasing memorable episodes of the hit TV game show "Press Your Luck" complete, uncut, & unedited, as originally broadcast on the CBS Television Network. After the marathon, Nick at Nite shall welcome "Press Your Luck" to its regular schedule by airing the series 7 nights a week at 8 p.m. ET/PT. |
