MTV Cancels "The Hills" *Lauren Conrad To Return for Post-Finale Special*
MTV Cancels Fake Reality Show "The Hills"
Posted Mar 25th 2010 by Bob Sassone Show of hands, who is mourning the cancellation of MTV's "The Hills"? Yup, the network has finally canceled the reality show that wasn't really a reality show. The final season starts on April 27. I think the only bad part about this cancellation is now that cast members like Heidi and Spencer won't be filming the show anymore that means they'll have time to make appearances on other shows. So MTV, maybe you shouldn't cancel this show after all. We need them to stay on the show so we have a better chance of avoiding them. Besides, Heidi needs cash for that eleventh plastic surgery I'm sure she wants to have. http://www.tvsquad.com/2010/03/25/mt...how-the-hills/ |

AOL TV reached out to "Hills" co-star Stephanie Pratt, sister of Spencer, to get her thoughts on the cancellation. Lauren Conrad Heading Back to "The Hills" for Post-Finale Show
by Kim Potts posted Jul 1st 2010 She was at the center of the show that was spun off from "Laguna Beach", and though Lauren Conrad has been MIA from "The Hills" since the middle of season 5 in 2009, the Los Angeles Times reports that she'll be back for the series post-finale reunion special, airing Jul. 13. After six seasons, "The Hills" and its ubiquitous stars are riding off into the reality TV sunset, and Conrad, along with Whitney Port (who's now starring in "The Hills" spin-off "The City") will return to MTV for a live post-"Hills" series finale special that will also include the entire cast. Well, most of the entire cast ... no word yet on the status of tempestuous couple Heidi and Spencer Pratt, the warring lovebirds who were kicked off the show earlier this season after Spencer allegedly had a fight with a producer. The Pratts are also, allegedly, warring with each other, as Heidi filed for a legal separation from Spencer on Jun. 8, and has announced that she'll be starring in another "Hills" spin-off, "The Heidi Show", with Jen Bunney. As for Conrad, the last time she was seen mingling with her "Hills" pals on camera was the May 31, 2009, episode 'Something Old, Something New,' in which she attended the wedding of her former BFF Heidi and Spencer, whose long-running tiff with Lauren sparked the end of the Lauren/Heidi friendship and numerous tabloid stories. That episode also featured the debut of Conrad's old "Laguna Beach" nemesis Kristin Cavallari as the new female center of the show. Since leaving "The Hills", Conrad has enjoyed multi-media successes, including a clothing line, penning fiction books, and, earlier this month, starring in her own "Got Milk" ad. http://www.tvsquad.com/2010/07/01/la...t-finale-show/ |
