Default How many UM cases took place in Iowa?

Hi Everyone,
I'm posting this question just out of general curiosity. How many UM cases took place in the great state of Iowa? I've been living and going to school out here for the past 5 years. For some reason, I don't remember a lot of stories occurring out here.
These are the cases that I DO remember:
1. The Jody Huisentruit case, from Mason City. In 2005, the local news stations commemorated the 10th anniversary of her disappearance.

2. A case about a family of siblings that were split apart during the Great Depression. I think they lived in either Davenport or Dubuque (both are towns along the Mississippi River), and they were so poor that the mother and one of her sons had to sweep rice off the floors of freight cars to cook with their dinner.

3. Didn't Malaika Griffin carjack a friend in Iowa City when she was fleeing Colorado? Malaika was the woman who shot her neighbor's fiance to death, about 1999.

4. The footlocker case. I mentioned in another thread how a Hy-Vee grocery bag was located along with the bones, and Hy-Vee is a MAJOR grocery chain in Iowa. Gabby thought that he might have picked up the footlocker in Iowa.

Are there any other Iowa-related cases? Any info is greatly appreciated!

I think the reason you haven't seen many Iowa cases is because Iowa is a relatively low-crime state, at least it appears to be. I've liked Iowa for some time now, seems like it would be a nice state to live in.

Don't recall anything about Malaika Griffin relating to Iowa, I thought the friend she carjacked was in Colorado as well.

To answer your question, Steve Hadley, the guy that stole more than million from the bank where he worked. This occured in Iowa.

THanks for the info, Wiseguy! I am not sure if I recall the Steve Hadley case. What town did the robbery occur in?
I think that you are right with the point about Iowa being a low crime state, which is why not a lot of cases have happened out of here. I think I saw a report, years back, about Iowa being one of the best "quality of life" states to live in. From my experience, it definitely is a nice, warm and welcoming place. Well, warm in terms of the hospitality and NOT the temperature! Right now, the snow has melted, the temperatures are in the 50's and i swear it feels like beach weather!
I seem to remember some connection with Malaika Griffin and Iowa. She either carjacked the friend in IOwa City, or the stolen car was found in Iowa City. to my knowledge, she fled east from Colorado, but i am not sure where she was eventually found. Also, on that note, has Griffin been tried yet? What was her sentence?

Well, remember the cop from California whose kids were abducted by his ex-wife? Weren't they found in Iowa or found but then the cops let them escape or something like that? I would have to watch the segment again to remember the guy's name.
